About- Fiona Sutherland hails from Sutherland in the very far North of Scotland came to study in Edinburgh in 1999. With her love for sport she pursued her Sports Therapy diploma and then went on to complete her Sports Science degree in 2003. After a short spell working at St Johns Hospital within the Physiotherapy department Fiona decided she wanted to specialise her career and go back learning at Queen Margaret University to become a Podiatrist. This then allowed her to combine her two skilled degrees and vast expertise in the sporting industry to set up her own private practice in 2010 in Edinburgh. While she was offering Podiatry and Therapy within a clinical setting she also worked within rugby , football , swimming, athletics to name a few at amature and professional levels. Fiona and Husband Ross also took a year out in 2013 to travel the world where again her skills were utilised in Brantford Ontario with the Brantford Harlequins rugby team.
On return Fiona put down roots in Winchburgh ,West Lothian where she saw a niche for her business to grow. After years in the making in 2019 Suthertland Podiatry & Therapy had there very own clinic right in the heart of Winchburgh. As well as running an extremely busy clinic , Fiona is the head podiatrist for the Heart of Midlothian football team.
Fiona is very passionate about treating people, not just sports people but anyone who needs to be treated. Over the years her scope of practice has evolved, its not all about sport and has gained many more qualifications. This has allowed her to apply a much more holistic approach to many of her services. Her motto is to 'treat you from head to toe' .
When Fiona is not in clinic she can be be found walking or running with her beloved beagle Molson or cheering on her husbands rugby team. We cant wait to treat you in clinic soon.
